After
a lifetime of work with Westinghouse at their Science and Technology
Center in Pittsburgh, Bob Lancaster has retired to work full-time, (when
fishing permits) on continuing to build the rods he has developed over the
past 30 years as a part-time rod maker.
The tapers that Bob prefers are Young-like and most result in a
pleasant, full-length casting action.
His rods feature dark flamed rod shafts, wrapped in rich brown silk
windings. All rods are done
with a hand rubbed oil finish to accentuate the light and dark patches of
the bamboo. His ferrules are Super-Swiss oxidized Nickel Silver and the
reel seats are dark metal with Zebrawood fillers.
All rods are two-piece with an extra tip. All rods are provided in
a hand sewn cloth bag, aluminum rod case and come with a pair of rubber
rods grips to ease disassembly. |

We
try to stock a full compliment of Bob’s rods including some of each
model. An out of stock model will generally require 3 to 4 months to
deliver. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required on all out-of-stock rod
orders. |
