ST. GEORGE FLY REELS
The most beloved light
trout reels Hardy has ever made are back and are still made entirely in
Alnwick, England on machines and kit that date back to 1912. These 6061
bar stock fly reels are the ultimate in a fine click and pawl reel.
The
new St. George HOTSPUR Model revisits the early contracted spool
models by offering a choice of two different spool configurations, both
suited to Salmon Fishing requirements. The Mid Arbor model assures quicker
line recovery akin to that provided by today's large arbor reels and the
Standard Arbor model affords the anglers larger line size and backing
capacities. BEST OF ALL the frame is common to BOTH SIZES and the spools
interchange readily, so you can have ALL YOUR SALMON NEEDS met by a single
reel with a single extra spool! This reel is beautifully finished in an
anodized matte black finish for corrosion protection and scratch
resistance. It is fitted with the famed Hardy all metal revolving line
guide, has a spool width of 1-5/16" and an Ivorine Handle knob.
Absolutely, a first-rate Spey Reel!
The
St. George TROUT Model is available in two sizes and two finish
colors. Fitted with a brass foot and an Agate line guide set in a
Nickel Silver cage with an Ivorine handle knob. These reel have the
traditional three-screw spool release cover and an excellent drag range as
the original it so closely emulates. Add your choice of either a Black
Finish OR the famed "Spitfire" Natural Aluminum finish made popular during
WWII and your only dilemma remains which color to choose. These are
the reels that your great grandchildren will fish, and thank you for them.

BOUGLE MK VII
One of the most famous pools on one of the most famous salmon rivers,
the Namsen in Norway, in part derives its name from the Bouglés. The pool
is called the Music Box reputedly because of the number of big fish over
the years running line off our singing Bouglé! Indeed, when you think
about the Bouglé, it’s the glorious sound of the check that stays with
you.
It’s a reel with voice. And when a big fish runs, it’s a reel that sings!
It’s easy to forget that the Bouglé Mk VI is derived from the older,
equally classic Perfect. The Perfect ran on ball bearings which made it
the smoothest winding reel of its time – yet time has in no way dated the
muscular beauty of the Bouglé. This new Bouglé has been enhanced by the
return of the reel to its original clear anodized aluminum finish. With
its ivorine handle, the Bouglé does look at its very best in its sumptuous
silver sheen. The ventilated spool and aluminum spindle both help with the
reel’s lightness but doesn’t do anything to compromise its legendary
strength. In short, it’s a reel you can trust and enjoy in equal measure.

CASCAPEDIA MK III

Another
Hardy legend. Those looks. Who doesn't love that sweeping 'S' shaped
handle? But the beauty is more than skin deep. The Cascapedia's
durability is proven over decades of use. The capture of thousands of
fish testify to this incredible reel's performance.
The
Cascapedia Mk III is a stunning version of one of the classic
reels of all time and resembles the original 1930's MKI Model more so than the MKII
model it
replaces, including the use of three Stainless Steel badges on the Solid
Front handle plate, . as the original version. The reel retains its looks, its charm and its quality
but it is brought so bang up to the minute that it will perfectly blend
in with modern rods. What you’ve got here is a true fishing version of
an ageless classic.
Available in four sizes, two trout and two salmon, the #2/3/4 and #5/6/7
versions boast a centralized click-check mechanism that famously
protects the lightest tippets whilst the larger #8/9 and
#10/11 feature a powerful clutch disc drag capable of stopping the largest
salmon and designed for faultless big-fish handling. The drag regulator button also has a pointer for easy reference
in the heat of battle. The anodized finish guarantees durability. Above all, the ‘S’ shaped handle
is retained, the immediate emblem of this magnificent reel.
Hardy likes to think of their new
Cascapedia as simple perfection. They've gone back to the original
design using a traditional solid front plate adorned with 3 highly
polished metal badges. The new reel much resembles the original
1930s model but has all the top features of a modern game reel. We
defy you not to fall in love with the new Cascapedia Mk III.
The new Cascapedia MkIII is a reel to collect, to look at, to treasure.
But above all, it’s a reel for the modern day, to be used with pleasure, admiration
and total confidence.
- Machined from high grade aluminium.
- Anodized finish for durability.
- Solid front plate.
- Trout models with adjustable click check
system.
- Salmon models with smooth disc drag system.
- Reel back secured by a dovetail and two
stainless steel screws.

MARQUIS SALMON
S ince Hardy stopped making the Marquis
reel they were inundated with requests to reinstate it. So they
did! This is a new Marquis reel built to the original design with
one slight change. Hardy couldn't resist improving the reel , they've slightly
redesigned the internal cam to give the click-check drag a greater
range than before. Made in Salmon sizes #1, #2 and #3 and built to the
original design, the best news is that these reels will accept your
original extra spools. Hardy knows what happens; over the years a frame
gets dropped, buckled or broken. You still have the spools and lines you
love but without a new reel frame, they are useless. Not now. You
are back in business. Made with the polished silver rim that everyone
agrees is the Marquis at its best. Bigger drag range, a perfect palming
rim and huge capacities, a Salmon angler's dream in three sizes to cover
every Salmon situation including two-handed rod use.
