THE TIBOR REELS

The Tibor series of reels were first introduced in
1995 and have established themselves as the benchmark for custom-crafted fly reels. After years of development and input from the likes of Lefty Kreh and Flip Pallot, Ted Juracsik (the designer of the famed Billy Pate Fly Reels) was finally satisfied with a reel that truly has set a new standard in fly fishing reel technology. All three of these men have spent a lifetime fishing in both fresh and salt water. Drawing on their vast experience, they were able to develop a series of reels that embodied practical fishing features and conceived new and ingenious ideas that all fly fishermen will enjoy. No reel has a smoother drag!

The spool's large arbor design significantly enhances the rate of line retrieval which is critical when you're trying to control speedsters like bonefish, bonito, or wahoo. Tibor Reels are also a mainstay for Spey enthusiasts, delivering the ultimate balance, overall capacity and drag performance for the double handed rod.

As with all of Ted's reels, the drag system is absolutely flawless and has withstood the test of the world's most demanding game fish, including 234 World Records, so far. If you were to own only one fly reel, this is the one to have.

Special Features of the Tibor Reels
	Converts from left to right hand retrieve with no tools.
	Made from 100% corrosion proof materials.
	The main gear is solid and Ceramic Coated for strength and heat dissipation.
	The cork drag washer is impregnated with a special compound that should give years of trouble free service with no maintenance required. If you ever feel that the drag is operating improperly, return it for the guaranteed maintenance.
	Three precision Stainless Steel ball bearings within the reel are sealed and never need lubrication.
	The shaft is of high grade Stainless Steel.
	It is unlikely in your lifetime that you would need to replace a clutch dog spring. However, if you do, there are two spare springs located in a storage compartment built into the reel foot.
	There are two holes in the reel foot. When the fly rod is rigged with leader and fly, these holes are used to store the hook. The hook is protected as well as the angler.
	The diameter of the spool is wider than most reels and has a larger circumference. This permits the angler to retrieve line much faster than spools that have a smaller circumference.
	This is a rim control spool with an added advantage. The outer edge of the spool is grooved, so that water on the angler’s hand is flushed away during a high speed run by a fish.
	Completely surrounding the rim of the reel is a series of small holes. When you’re finished fishing and wind in line, insert the leader end through on of these holes. Next trip there’ll be no need to search for the leader end buried on the reel.
	A special handle knob design promotes finger clearance and helps avoid banged fingers.
	The drag knob is large, loss-proof and easy to adjust.
	No tools are required to disassemble the reel for cleaning. A penny is all you need. There is a special cap that shields the drawbar and prevents loss of the spring when the reel is disassembled.

TIBOR LITE REELS

Ted Juracsik has developed three Tibors that fill the special needs of trout fishermen. Because of their construction and superb drag, many steelheaders, bass fishermen, and we suspect, saltwater fly fishermen, will use them too. Ted Juracsik sought input from many of the top fly fishermen across the United States before designing what are probably the finest and lightest trout reels ever manufactured.

SPECIAL FEATURES
	Made from solid aluminum bar stock and have very few parts.

	Most trout reels have a poor drag, and many have one that can be adjusted so tightly that fragile leader tippets will break - losing the fish. Both TiborLight models have been specially designed so that you cannot set the drag excessively tight - yet the spool won't over-run if you pull line rapidly from it. We don't know of any trout reel with this feature that still has such a delicate, smooth drag.
	The drag adjustment nut is more accessible than on most reels and cannot catch the line.
	All parts are corrosion proof (saltwater won't hurt this reel). The reel frame and spool have been anodized and the other parts have been ceramic coated. This means no rust or corrosion problems - ever.
	The spool is easily removable and the retaining nut is almost impossible to lose. Extra spools are available.
	There is a clicker to monitor line going out or coming in.
	The leader-keeper groove on the spool rim captures the leader when moving from one fishing location to another.
