TRADES...

I am always looking for very high quality bamboo fly rods and fly reels and interesting shotguns, and will trade  guns and tackle for them. I am interested only in items from the highest quality makers and from the best names.  Please send me a detailed listing of any tackle or items you might wish to sell or trade.  I will advise you immediately of my interest, and only then, will ask you to ship to me for my offer.  Please do not ship your tackle or guns to me for sale or trade without first letting me know what you have!

 If you have some nice, high quality things you no longer use, which you wish to convert to tackle you can fish with or guns you can shoot with, I may have the answer to making the transition easy for you.  Call, Fax or E-mail me with your list of goodies and we’ll see where we can go with a deal fair to both of us. 

CONSIGNMENTS...

While we occasionally purchase outright and/or trade for most tackle and guns offered to us, we sometimes accept selected equipment for sale on a consignment basis. Our consignment commission is 30% of the retail price of the equipment sold. Please call, fax or e-mail us with a list of your gear and we’ll discuss all your options and work out the best arrangement for you.

TACKLE APPRAISAL SERVICE...

I am constantly asked to appraise old tackle or give guess-timates as to reasonable value. I am only too happy to perform a legitimate, fee-based appraisal service, as I often make purchase offers for tackle I’ve appraised.

 Fee Based Appraisals...

I do not do un-washed, sight unseen, appraisals: I simply refuse to do them, as they do both of us a disservice.  Free, Sight Unseen Appraisals are worth exactly what you pay for them!   Please e-mail me a list of your items and I will contact you with further instructions.  Please include your daytime phone number. 

SENDING US YOUR EQUIPMENT—We recommend UPS or Priority Mail for shipment.  Since shipping insurance is a bargain, you are advised to insure the equipment for any wishful thinking amount you hope it turns out to be worth.  That way, if it is lost you will be adequately covered.  MAKE SURE THAT TACKLE IS PACKED IN A PROPER MAILING CARTON.  Original rod tubes and reel cases are NOT meant to be mailing devices and are an important part of the value of any given rod or reel.  When they get beat up in shipping that value is reduced, so pack them properly to ship them. 

SHIPPING  CHARGES....

Domestic Orders, Shipping Only: We routinely ship using  UPS Ground Delivery OR the United States Postal Service,1st Class/Priority Service.   Most packages ship via these methods for $15 to $20.  For Express delivery and  Multiple Item orders that require additional shipping costs, you will be charged the ACTUAL SHIPPING COSTS.  Oversize Packages will be billed at the ACTUAL SHIPPING COSTS.

We generally ship via UPS in the states, provided we are given a street address. Post Office Box addresses can be shipped via USPS only. Air shipment on all orders is charged accordingly, regardless of size.

UPS Oversize Shipments:  Some rods and tackle including one piece rods pack out to be over 60" and are billed by UPS as oversize shipments.  These orders are shipped at actual cost. Air freight is added, if requested, at the appropriate rates.

Overseas Orders: Accepted only on Visa, Master Card or the equivalent credit card basis. Shipping & Insurance costs are the actual charges added to your order. These generally run from $50 to $150 depending upon destination, weight and package size.

INSURANCE...

The above costs include only base Insurance charges (up to $100 value).  Additional insurance will be automatically added as required UNLESS DECLINED AT TIME OF ORDER.  WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS IF INSURANCE IS DECLINED. 

 INSURANCE RATES ARE BASED ON THIS SCHEDULE: 

UPS:   FIRST $100 @ $2.00; $1.00 per $100 THEREAFTER.   

USPS:  FIRST $100 @ $2.00; $1.00 per $100 THEREAFTER.

 

3- DAYRETURN PRIVILEGE...

ONLY GUNS, CLASSIC BAMBOO RODS & BRAND NEW TACKLE carry an unconditional 3 day inspection privilege. Please notify us by phone of your intent to return an item. There will be a prompt and full refund when the item is received by us WITHIN 15 DAYS of our original shipping date; and in the same condition as it was shipped to you. Returns that are received back by us without prior notification OR from 16 to 30 days after shipping are subject to a 15% handling and restocking fee. There is NO RETURN PRIVILEGE for any item BEYOND 30 DAYS.  Used Reels, Graphite & Glass Rods, Miscellaneous Items & Accessories do not carry a return privilege. Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS.

VISITS...

Carol and I are semi-retired and run this phone and mail-order business from a personal suite of offices on a part-time basis. We do not operate a public store and we do not have a showroom facility. We do not encourage personal visits as our hours are unpredictable, depending upon the fishing. When we are here, there simply is no time for personal visits. Therefore, any one absolutely needing to visit us must have an appointment. We do not wish to seem arrogant or independent about this, but it is simply impossible for myself or Carol to function any other way and still be able to give all our customers our very best attention. Please do not read more into this than there is, we'd love to spend our days visiting with each and every one of you, but it just can't be, so visits are not encouraged.

To speak to one of us personally, it is generally best to call 1 (352) 637‑5454 weekday afternoons. EVEN THEN, WE ARE NOT ALWAYS HERE DEPENDING UPON THE FISHING SCHEDULE, so if you get our voice mail, PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE. We will return your call at the first opportunity. 

VOICE MAIL ORDERS...

Our voice mail system is set up to accept your Credit Card or Hold-for-Check telephone order on a 24/7 basis anytime we are not on hand to personally answer the phone. Orders left on VOICE MAIL (or fax or e-mail) are given chronological priority over orders received personally at a later time, so don't hang up ‑‑ talk to us! WHEN YOU ORDER...

Please be sure to spell out your last name, give us your shipping address, and your daytime phone number (and Fax number, if you have one). We need your credit card number along with the expiry date AND the three-digit number on the back of the card AND your card billing address, (if different from your shipping address. Lastly, give us the stock number(s) of the item(s) you wish to order (2nd & 3rd choices are OK).

 

PAY PAL PAYMENTS...

We accept PAY PAL for everything we sell...EXCEPT GUNS.  Because we offer fine grade guns on our website, the Politically Correct social engineers at E-bay's PAY PAL refuse to allow us to advertise the fact that we have a legitimate account with them at "len@codella.com".  Their dictum is, "As long as you sell guns on your website, you cannot  place the PAY PAL  logo anywhere on your website. You can, of course, accept Pay Pal for all merchandise you sell, just not for guns."  So, thanks to the anti-gun crowd at Pay Pal and E-Bay,  you'll just have to accept the inconvenience of paying for your gun purchases through Visa, Master Card, Money Orders or Check.  If you feel your freedom of choice has been compromised, please let the good folks at Pay Pal know what you think of their mind-set.

E-MAIL ORDERS...

Equipment offered on this web site can safely be ordered using your VISA or MASTER CARD Credit Card by sending us two separate e-mails with the credit card numbers split between them or by faxing us the numbers, you have a safe and secure ordering process to ease your order placement. Sorry.    No COD's. 

HOLD FOR CHECK ORDERS...

We will accept Hold For Check Orders.  On these orders  merchandise will be held for four business days from the date of your order, awaiting arrival of your cash, check or money order.  No check in four days, the next person gets the merchandise. No exceptions. 

 

FREE ADVICE...

We run a business that prides itself on an uniquely personal treatment of its customers. Indeed, my wife Carol and myself know most of you by your first names. We are the only people here and our phone can sometimes get extra busy.  I know how frustrating it can be not to be able to get your call through easily during those times, so...if you have a fax, contact us that way with your questions or requirements or e-mail us if you prefer. The fax is almost never busy and we are able to respond fairly quickly to fax messages, since we can squeeze our answers out between taking phone calls. No fax...no problem. Our voice mail system is on whenever we are not here, so you can call back after regular hours and leave your order. E-Mail works just dandy, too.
